Uummmm Yum Aam. Its mouth watering when someone reminds me of mango.
Sour raw mangoes are used for making pickle at my home.
There is a tedious process to make Aachar. But my Mom made a new mango
pickle which just half an hour and tadaaaaaa..!!
My Khatta Mitha Pickle is ready!
Preparation time – 5 mins
Cooking time – 20 mins
Ingredients :
Mango -Preferably little riped
Oil – 4 Tbsp
Cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
Turmeric powder
Salt
Jaggery powder
Coriander seeds
Dry Red Chilli – 2 to 3
Cumin seeds
Procedure:
- Soak the diced mango pieces in salt water for 45 mins
- Dry roast the Coriander seeds , Dry Chilli , Cumin seeds and make a
- fine powder in a blender
- Start preparing the tadka Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,
- allow to pop. Then add in cumin seeds, dry red chilli whole, curry
- leaves and finally hing.
- Add the medium diced raw mango to the pan let it cook with lid closed
- Add turmeric powder and salt for taste.
- As the Diced mangoes get cooked add the grounded masala powder and
- jaggery powder .
- Allow the mixture to cook for a small while .
