Khatta Meeta Mango Pickle


Uummmm Yum Aam. Its mouth watering when someone reminds me of mango.
Sour raw mangoes are used for making pickle at my home.
There is a tedious process to make Aachar. But my Mom made a new mango
pickle which just half an hour and tadaaaaaa..!!
My Khatta Mitha Pickle is ready!


Preparation time – 5 mins
Cooking time – 20 mins

Ingredients :
Mango -Preferably little riped
Oil – 4 Tbsp
Cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
Turmeric powder
Salt
Jaggery powder
Coriander seeds
Dry Red Chilli – 2 to 3
Cumin seeds

Procedure:
  1. Soak the diced mango pieces in salt water for 45 mins
  2. Dry roast the Coriander seeds , Dry Chilli , Cumin seeds and make a
  3. fine powder in a blender
  4. Start preparing the tadka  Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,
  5. allow to pop. Then add in cumin seeds, dry red chilli whole, curry
  6. leaves and finally hing.
  7. Add the medium diced raw mango to the pan let it cook with lid closed
  8. Add turmeric powder and salt for taste.
  9. As the Diced mangoes get cooked add the grounded masala powder and
  10. jaggery powder .
  11. Allow the mixture to cook for a small while .
Khatta Mitha Mango pickle is ready to serve for hot rice or rotis.
