Did you ever imagine what would it would be like if our favorite , mouth watering recipes become extinct? One day My sister and I were discussing over the same topic, both of us being foodies are hard core fans of my Mom's recipes. We came up with the idea to save all those yummy recipes here. All of the upcoming series are very easy and simple to make with the items available in our kitchen.


Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When you feed yourself what your body needs when it needs it, that's love. and trust me, If your breakfast is quick & easy to make besides being tasty - Its the great start for the day.

Lets get started with one of favorite breakfast recipes. This was a gyan to my mom from my grandma ;)
Preparation time – 15 mins
Cooking time – 20  mins

Ingredients :

Rice flour 1 cup
Water      1 cup
Oil  4 Tbsp
Chilli powder
Sesame seeds
Cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
urad dal

Procedure :
  1. Dry roast the sesame seeds and make it a coarse powder in a blender.
  2. Start heating the water. Add few drops of oil and pinch of salt in it. As the water boils, add rice flour to it. Stop the flame and close the vessel with lid for couple of mins.
  3. As the mixture cools down, start kneading the dough with oiled hands. Take small amount of dough and make into desired shape. Complete the entire mixture in the same style. 
  4. Steam them in idli stand for 10 - 15 mins till they are cooked. 
  5. Meanwhile, start preparing the seasoning for your dish. Heat little oil in a pan. Add urad dal and fry till they are golden brown. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  6. Add the steamed kudumulu to the tadka followed by sesame seed powder, salt, mirchi powder.and fry them in pan for 1 min. Leave the pan covered for 2 mins.
Spicy, hot and nutritious Nuvvula Kudumulu are ready to serve.

  4. I am not fan of sesame. But this recipe pulled me to kitchen instantly to try this. result was pretty fine.
    Those steamed dough bits were literally melting in mouth. seasoning is simple but really good flavored. don't worry if you aren't getting any aroma while you cooking this. trust me this will be good when it touches your buds. The thing which impressed me is there were no much ingredients but its delicious. This one is Must try. waiting to try one more recipe from this blog.
